Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people with a visual, auditory or motor impairment and users of assistive technology such as screen readers.

What we aim for

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA as our standard, in line with European accessibility rules including the European Accessibility Act. Accessibility is part of our design process, just like security, rather than an afterthought.

What we do concretely

The site is fully operable by keyboard and has clear focus indicators. Color contrasts meet the AA standard, headings and landmarks are semantically structured for screen readers, informative images have text alternatives and decorative images are skipped by assistive technology. Visitors who indicate in their operating system that they prefer reduced motion see the site without animations.

Known limitations

We check the site periodically with automated tests and manual spot checks. When we find a problem, we fix it in the next update. There are currently no known accessibility issues.
